Industry Week
Industry Week is an annual week long mini-festival ran by Confetti for its students. We curate a series of talks and workshops featuring industry professionals and college alumni to talk about their work and career. The aim is to help educate and inspire students about opportunities and to develop a networking environment around their chosen industry sector.

Industry Week 2024
My first Industry Week since starting at Confetti saw me collaborating to come up with a solid concept for an identity that can be applied across socials, printed media and most importantly the speaker screens during the event.
Very quickly we developed a dynamic type application that can be squashed and stretched to build a sense of momentum, coupled with colour schemes based on the different subject areas we teach.
I worked on developing some movement, initially by the squash and stretch effect, then with the practical physics effect of the letters individually falling and bouncing into place. It proved a tricky but rewarding task. Having this vibrant, vast logo bounce and stretch all the way across the screen behind the speaker was great to see in person and really elevated the experience for the students.

Example of the holding screen which was displayed throughout the event and on the main screens before the speakers were on. The animation loops between the four different colours. - I cut this video down into only one (the blue -media- variation).
Industry Week 2025
This was the first IW event since merging fully with NTU and therefore we needed to keep things much simpler and straightforward for a new team and for students to take on. Therefore we stripped back the dynamic, stretching type and opted for a more modern bold identity.
We used a set of gradients and colours to build a style that can be applied to the 'IW25' logomark and spread accross all our media.
Again, more screens, transitions and subtle animations had to be developed to help stand out against the speakers and feel cohesive as a festival.

Short promo developed to build a 'feel' for the brand. This was later broken down and used as a media wipe to transition between the speakers presentation slides and live broadcast footage.
I've included a small collection of some of my favourite images from the two events below.
